Business Problem

Replace unsupported scanning equipment

Existing scanners used to capture fingerprint data from cards could no longer be supported or maintained. The scanners needed to be replaced with an available model that could continue to meet the requirements for scan resolution and other criteria.

Solution

Card Scan Client

CloverLeaf designed new client software capable of functioning with the new scanner. Fingerprint data captured by the client would then be forwarded to a server process designed to interface with the existing workflow.

Card Scan Server

CloverLeaf implemented a server process within an existing framework to handle data sent from the new Card Scan client. This new server process forwards data to the existing Card Scan data workflow, thereby mitigating changes required from the user perspective.

CloverLeaf Added Value

A certifiable scanning solution was found that could replace the old scanners for about one-third of the cost of the older hardware.
